The Bible tells us that Baptism is a public celebration that declares the person being a follower of Jesus. Baptism itself doesn’t save anyone from their sins, only Jesus does. Baptism is a public statement declaring their relationship with God through the person of Jesus Christ. Immersion in water symbolizes life before Christ, burial with Christ in His death, and then being raised with Him as He rose to new life! We believe that when a person has surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, then they should be baptized to publicize it to the world.
